Human beings are most trusted, respected, productive, and successful when they experience relationships and leadership from a shared and unconditional community worldview perspective. Natural laws dictate that. It is a worldview that realizes both individual and collective potential. The development of community becomes the basic goal for individual and collective decision-making in all informal and formal relationships. My experience tells me that the community worldview transforms relationships and leadership practice into best results. Given the chaotic and uncertain times, I believe priority attention to the (organization as) community worldview is essential.

In order for the community worldview to be effectively implemented, the articulation of supporting unconditional shared values is crucial. Of special significance is that the supporting relationship and leadership values recognize the realities (limitations and opportunities) of human nature. Human nature reflects both the general tendency towards widely acknowledged selfishness and ways of overcoming the limitations to developing a community that meets both individual and collective requirements for best results. The community worldview values that address this serious issue impacting many relationships and leadership practices today. Much of the business leader’s time is spent with human resource issues.

With human beings requiring relationships and leadership to survive, social relationships are continuously essential, but they are largely transactional, and seemingly becoming more that way as behavioral civility is on the decline and the merits of relationship and leadership values are usually not considered. Such relationships are conditional and become the cause of frequent relationship and leadership stresses and conflicts. I think that is why business leadership performance impact short-comings have created a global business leadership crisis. In my view, only relationship and leadership community values can address that crisis.
