About the Author

I have felt for some time that we need to take a fresh look at what constitutes most effective organizational leadership, especially from a business perspective. With the merits of leadership development programs also being questioned for limited ROI at a time when we experience uncertain financial times, I saw unprecedented global urgency.

By relying on my extensive related inter-disciplinary education, many years of diverse executive level leadership experience, extensive cross-cultural leadership development experience, and extensive review of organizational management and leadership literature and research, I concluded that a fresh perspective on a leadership framework was merited.

​

To address the need for a fresh organizational leadership development and practice framework, I decided that an acknowledged leadership practice crisis needed to be addressed comprehensively and practically for the entire business organization to address systematically. Experience in China and in my global consulting, training, and mentoring service shows that this leadership framework has proven merit in creating an organizational culture for performance success.

This business leadership development and practice framework is described in my new four-book series entitled Value-Based Business Leadership for Businesses in China. A universal framework is described and applied to the Chinese cultural context. Given a completed practical value-based business leadership framework, I concluded my work with the development of an instrument to comprehensively assess the organizational culture and performance against the framework standard.
